One of the most accurate calendars in use: its year begins at the precise moment of the spring equinox in Tehran, holding it exactly to the seasons. It shares the Hijra epoch but is solar, so its years are written AP — Anno Persico — and, being solar, fall ever further behind the lunar AH count of the Islamic calendar.
